What’s New

Walas – El Otro (Out March 18, 2016)

Walas is an Uruguayan based musician who has been involved in the music scene since the early 1990s as a producer, sound designer, film and theatrical composer, and remixer.

Guided by experimentation as his main focus, he’s worked alongside critically acclaimed acts and solo artists from the Uruguayan and Latin-American scene, and has delivered numerous remixes for artists from across the globe such as Fernando Santullo, Antonio Birabent, Diego Martino, The New Division, Neil Davidge and more.
In two consecutive years (2013-2014) he was the recipient of the Graffiti Awards (the most prestigious music award in Uruguay).

His new LP, “El Otro” (“The Other”) is a sonic experimental journey, exposing a wide range of musical and technical influences which includes several guest artists and collaborations. Each song from this 9-track LP has been masterfully crafted, converging the many musical influences that Walas, as a good audiophile, has developed as his signature sound over the years.

Karl Lennar – Figure 8 (Out March 15, 2016)

After the success of “Falcon – EP,” Karl returns to the nostalgic arena with another instant classic, “Figure 8.” Drawing inspiration from 1980’s cinematic pieces, Karl aims his retro guns on his signature driving basslines, coupled with euphoric Roland Juno & JX-3P synth melodies.

The New Division – Senseless (Pre-Order)

Out March 17, 2015.

Pre-Order: amzn.to/1Ed7wsi

The New Division is an alias of the electronic artist John Glenn Kunkel. With 2 albums and 2 EP’s under his belt, Kunkel returns in 2015 with Gemini, produced in collaboration with F.J. DeSanto from Hypefactor.

The third full length album can be branded as an ode to Kunkel’s signature sound, which has placed The New Division at the forefront of modern new wave music today. These 13 songs feature an eclectic mix of sonorous guitar hooks complemented by synth leads eerily narrating times past, all the while remaining boldly in the present.

The New Division’s current lineup includes Brock Woolsey (guitars), Michael Janz (synths), Mark Michalski (synths), and Alex Gonzales (drums).

Written by John Glenn Kunkel

Riding on the fire
The flames can get real high
As you’re running down the halls

But you’re to blame
For lighting up the match
For fastening the latch
And putting in the call

Wasted money on the side
Sirens, whistles, all in line

These violent times (what’s happening?)
These senseless crimes (what’s happening?)

Seeing all the signs
Of a dream that will define…
But soon you will deny

And everything: the promise of the skies
You’re a victim of the times
A writing on the stall

Wasted money on the side
Sirens, whistles, all in line

These violent times (what’s happening?)
These senseless crimes (what’s happening?)
